Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must meet the minimum age of 18 years for most posts, and 21 years for Junior Training Officer posts (as on 01/07/2025). The maximum age limit ranges from 32 to 47 years depending on the post and category, with no upper limit for SC/ST/MBC/BC and other reserved categories.

- Chemist, Grade-I: M.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Technology + 2 years’ research experience.
- Junior Engineer/Overseer/Draughting Officer: Diploma in Civil Engineering (B.E. preferred for some posts).
- Junior Training Officer: SSLC + Degree/Diploma or NTC in the relevant trade.
- Technical Assistant (Electrical/Civil): Diploma in respective engineering.
- Junior Tradesman: SSLC + National Trade Certificate in relevant field.
- Assistant Agricultural Officer / Horticultural Officer: Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture.

Pay scale ranges from Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900) to Level-20 (₹37,700 – ₹1,16,600) depending on the post. Some roles like Junior Tradesman start as daily wage earners (₹872/day for 240 days) before permanent pay scale is applied.
