The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released Advertisement No. 02/2025 inviting online applications for 1373 Secondary Teacher posts across various subjects in government schools. Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must not exceed the age of 45 years as of 1st August 2025. Age relaxations are applicable as follows: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 3 years for women (UR/OBC), 10 years for PwBD, and up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD. Ex-servicemen are eligible for additional age relaxations as per state government norms.
Education
Candidates must have one of the following from a recognized university or institution:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
- B.Tech/B.E. (in relevant technical subjects such as Computer Science)
- Master’s Degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., etc.) in relevant subjects
- Master of Education (M.Ed.)
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Subject-specific qualifications will apply based on the vacancy category.
Salary
The pay scale is Pay Level-6 under the 7th Pay Commission, ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month along with allowances as per Jharkhand government rules.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 45 years with category-based relaxations. SC/ST get 5 years, OBC and women get 3 years, PwBD up to 10 years, and SC/ST PwBD up to 15 years.
Application Fee
The tentative application fee is ₹100 for General and OBC categories, ₹50 for SC/ST of Jharkhand domicile, and exempted for PwBD candidates. The payment must be made online via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. The last date to pay the fee is 19th July 2025.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on a written examination followed by document verification. The written test will assess subject knowledge and teaching ability. Only those who qualify in the written test will be called for verification of educational, caste, and other eligibility documents.
