Education
- For Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholsterer:
10th Pass with a two-year ITI certificate in the trade OR one-year ITI with one year of relevant experience. - For Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji/Syce:
10th Pass with proficiency in the trade (preference for candidates with multiple skills). - For Cook, Water Carrier, Waiter:
10th Pass with NSQF Level-I Course in Food Production/Kitchen from NSDC or recognized institutes.

The selection process of the Border Security Force includes a number of different steps. These various stages of the selection process of the Border Security Force exam include physical standard test, physical examination test, written test, trade test, medical test, and merit list.
